Tintype of Young Girl on a Hammock

This is an interesting studio portrait.  Notice the large black post on the floor, extending up and behind the young lady.  The post supports a photographer's head clamp.  Head-clamps were used to prevent the sitter from moving during a long exposure.  It must have worked, because you see her face clearly in the tintype.  But on the other hand, this bold post ruins the mood of the hammock.

Image size is 2 3/8 x 3 1/2 inches.
